Personalizing product discounts for a health & supplement retailer
The Challenge
Top Nutrition was looking to boost sales for certain products that weren't performing well. They didn't want to rely on a blanket discount because they were worried that customers would start expecting discounts whenever they purchased.
Promi's Solution
We used Promi's AI model to personalize discounts for each product, taking into account COGS to ensure a minimum remaining margin. Our experiment was set up so that 50% of traffic would receive the personalized discount, and the other 50% would receive no discount.
The Results
Promi's personalized discounts generated +52% average revenue per visitor and +39% profit per visitor on eligible items vs. the control with no discount. This translated to +19% storewide ARPU and +20% storewide profit.
